Beyond Words was with Dawn Stone – Animal Empath

Lead by Dawn Stone, a gathering of guardians and their animal companions took place at Babbinswood Farm last Saturday.  They met in the Long Barn where there was plenty of room to spread out and let the energy flow.

After a hot drink and introductions (aka cuddles!) – two-legged and four-legged alike – Dawn guided the humans through breathing exercises and then meditation.  Calm humans = calm dogs.

After class all the dogs meandered back to the shop, flopped down on the floor and gave an almighty sigh of contentment.  Then their guardians arrived, relaxed after a really enjoyable hour, to settle with dogs content at their feet, to partake of a hot drink and cake.

Everyone agreed that this could be the start of regular gatherings to build a supportive community of animal lovers and animals in touch with each other.

Barbara, on behalf of Diamond, Biko and Spruce, said: ‘This was more than just a talk on Dawn’s work, it was an experience of the effect of taking time to be quiet with our animals. Breathing exercises to calm our busy minds, then a guided meditation to find that connection. The calmness naturally extended to the four-legged participants who relaxed and lay quietly beside us.’

Lynda and Shelagh were there with Kiwi:

‘We enjoyed the session very much, it was very relaxing and great to see all the dogs so chilled out and sleeping’

Lisa’s Mabel cheekily joined the class and, now super-chilled, is looking forward to the next Beyond Words class.

Don’t think this is for you and yours?  Give it a try, you may be surprised!  To be inclusive, this activity can be on mats on the floor or seated.

Save the date!  Next session October 17th.

Dawn kindly donated her time and the ticket sales went to the CBS.
